Ribbond is made from the same super tough ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fibers used to make bullet proof vests. Normal scissors will not cut the Ribbond cleanly without leaving stray uncut fibers. It is important to have a perfectly clean cut. Special Ribbond scissors are needed to cut the super tough Ribbond fibers.
