Red Spot contains a food grade dye which stains oral plaque bright red. Red Spot can be used both in-surgery and as a take home treatment.
Red Spot is a dental plaque disclosing gel used to identify areas of concern for patients on the tooth surface. Dental plaque is an accumulation of thin film on the outer surface of the tooth and consists mainly of Streptococcus mutans species microorganisms; if left untreated, these bacteria can start to attack the tooth surface and cause decay. With the use of Red Spot, patients are able to see the areas of concern and where increased hygiene measures are needed to prevent a carious lesion. Red Spot is ideal for educating patients in correct brushing and flossing techniques.
